On Friday, February 14th, CPCS 8th graders participated in the first Service Learning trip to the Bed Stuy Campaign Against Hunger Food Pantry. Students restocked shelves, assisted customers with their groceries, cleaned, and learned about the ins and outs of the food pantry. Food pantry staff were very impressed with our students' work ethic and positive attitude.
Over the next 2 weeks, all 8th graders will have an opportunity to participate and earn 3 hours towards their 30 hour community service requirement.
